why we use only sine wave in ac why we do not use other wave
forms
Answer Posted / praveen420
we can use various type of wave signal to the ac system
but sine wave is used because
1.the rms value of sine wave is more than the other wave
like square,triangular etc
2.it genarate smooth flux density in case of machine
3.hunting and harmonics are in machine less compare to other wave.

Sir, My doubt on cable sizing calculation, Load:74 KW calculated cable 1 run 50mm2. Now client asking us to reduce cable size by increasing runs. Sir, My question now when my mind strikes with 2 options 1) Divide load 74/2 = 36 and calculate cable for 36+36 making it 2 runs or 2) Simply i can divide 50mm2 /2 ie. 2 runs of 25mm2 Please suggest me sir

In Power Line Communication (PLC) the wave trap is used to block communication signals from entering neighboring lines. My question is this: Why do they allow for different filtering arrangements on these wave traps? Isn't it always going to be a low pass filter since we want the power frequency to go through, and the comm signal blocked?
