CDMA mean CODE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS.
This is system in which edge is divided based on code not
on frequency. Where as in GSM it was divided based on
frequency.

Because of the above reason in CDMA it may be possible that
two users are having same frequncy even though they are in
same area.
