how we can calculate the transformer size.

Answer Posted / rajani

SIZE OF TRANSFORMER DEPENDS THE FOLLOWING

CONNECTED LOAD EX:2500KVA
MAXIMUM DEMAND EX:1500KVA
STARTING LOAD EX: 500KVA
LOAD FACTOR EX:0.9
FUTURE LOADS EX: 20% EXTRA TO MAXIMUMDEMAND

SO TRANSFORMER SIZE IS (1500+500+20%(1500))*0.9=2070KVA
SO 2200KVA TRANSFORMER IS ADEQUATE FOR MAX DEMAND OF
1500KVA LOAD.
