what is relation betn. KW & KV?

Answer Posted / tauseef tarique, engineer(e)

kV (Kilo Watt) is the unit of measurement of electrical
power. While kV is the unit of measurement of voltage
(potential difference).
for the three phase supply
kW= 1.732xVxIxcos phi
where V= Voltage
I= Current
Cos phi= power factor

For single phase supply
kW= VxIx cos phi
