shear wall is ,concrete wall made to resist lateral forces
acting on tall buildings.It is provided ,when the centre of
gravity of building area & loads acted on it differs by
more than 30%. in order to bring the c.g in range of 30%
concrete wall is provided i.e lateral forces may not
increase much.
