wht is Zero Elevation and Zero Suppression?

Answer Posted / anu

It deals with Diffierentail type of gage.
Suppose the mouting of tx is such that the low pressure leg
of tx get accumulated with process fluid/gas. So in that
case even when the actual process flow /level ect is zero,
the tx will show a -ve reading because of the presence of
accumulation in the LP leg of tx. To over come, we need to
set that reading as ZERO reading for that TX. That means we
had had elevated the zero.

Zero supression is to decrese the reading of Tx to zero
when it is showing a higher reading than normal. This is
result of accumulation of process fluid in High pressure
leg of tx.
