Question What do you mean by linear and bilateral network?
Question Asked At :: disa, infosys, why we use bilateral network?, inhfhfj, optcl, automation industry,
Question Submitted By :: sabarikumar
I also faced this Question!!

Linear Element are those element which follow the ohm's law.
Like as Resistance,Inductor&Capacitor(at relexed condition)
Bilateral network is that network in which any element of
the network gives the response in both directions e.g R,L,C
but diode gives the response in only one direction so it is
a unilateral element.

 Is This Answer Correct ? 58 Yes 34 No

Hi Suppose we have a wye/wye transformer which is grounded at both sides,in this situation, do we have ay ground transformer? in other words, ground transformer can do any thing more (while we have nuetral wire in both sides)? As the last question, what about 3rd harmonic? we have two choices: first using wye/delta transformer + ground transformer and second using wye/wye earthed connection.in the former choice, we dont have 3rd harmoonic at the secondary side but what about Yn/yn conection? do we suffer from 3rd harmonic in the Yn/yn connection? 265

Please clarify, 1. Is it required to lay two runs of GI wire along with Armoured LT cable if it is laid between one big mains (63Amps TPN SDF) to small main (32A TPN SDF) with proper glanding termination? 2. If the armoured cable with proper glanding is laid from DB to CNC machine, is it required to run two runs of body earthing to the Machine from DB? 3.If the armoured cable with proper glanding is laid from Substation to Hangar, distance is approx. 100 mtrs, is it required to do earthing at shop area though the primary termination at substation is earthed through gland. 326
