How transformer winding & oil gets heat.

Answer Posted / uzy

whenever current flows through a wire there are i2rt losses
which r dissipated through resistors in the form of heat
also transformer has no moving part so all the
losses(unusable energy) in copper winding are evolving
through wires.
moreover the construction of transformer is closed type so
the heating becomes more.
since the oil tank is linked to the windings , as the
windings
heatup the oil filled in tank get heated and expands.

In Power Line Communication (PLC) the wave trap is used to block communication signals from entering neighboring lines. My question is this: Why do they allow for different filtering arrangements on these wave traps? Isn't it always going to be a low pass filter since we want the power frequency to go through, and the comm signal blocked?
