What is the difference between Earthing and Neutral?
Answer Posted / tauseef tarique, engineer(e)
Earthing is used for safety of person from leakage current.
It is connected to to metallic part(or body) of all
installed(or connected) equipment. Earthing is done locally
in the ground. The types of earthing are Plate earthing
(Copper or G.I.) and Pipe earthing.
Neutral is used to complete the circuit. In every single
phase supply neutral is must to complete the circuit. It is
obtained from the neutral point of star side of a
Transformer.
