Magnetic field.But why not Transformer?

In 3 ph IM winding is placed in slots.so many set of coil
wounded and placed on slots alternate phases and make each
phases 120 degree appart.
but in transformer, only one coil wounded on core and other
winding coil wounded on the coil for each limp each phase.
