Can you tell me how to test the effectiveness of banners?

To test the effectiveness of your banners, divide the
number of exposures by the number of click throughs.
Example Formula:
100 exposures divided by 25 click throughs = 4:1 ratio
A 4:1 ratio specifies that the banner is clicked on once
for every four exposures. The lower the number of exposures
compared to the click throughs, the better.

1. Ad copy – test size, color, shadowing, font and of course, the ad copy itself.
2. Add a boarder or none – does your ad stand out better with a white background or will draw more attention with a black vs. colored border?
3. Call to action (CTA) – test buttons vs. links
4. Promotion – free shipping or discount offers, such as “save 50%” vs. “save $20”
5. Price points –$0.99 vs. $1 or lowest price guarantee
6.Headlines – this is the most vital part of your ad so definitely test your headlines; consider stating a fact, asking a question, highlighting a feature, etc.
