In a 3 phase squirrel cage induction motor why does rotor
rotate?
will 3 phase transformer rotate like a motor if it is
placed on bearings and powered up? give reason
Answer Posted / nm
3 phase induction motor operates on the principle of
induction due to rotating magnetic field.....
3 phase t/f will not act like a motor because the primary
coils in induction motor are placed at 120 degrees spacially
in space which is not ther in t/f so rotating magnetic fld
which is the cause of rotation will not be produced...
