The temperature at Kochi is given by the function: -
t2/6+4t+12 where t is the elapsed time since noon. What is
the percentage rise (or fall) in temperature between 3.00
PM and 6.00 PM?

Answer Posted / sraboni

Temp at 3:00pm = -3*2/6+4*3+12 = -1+12+12 = 23
Temp at 6:00pm = -6*2/6+4*6+12 = -2+24+12 = 34

thus, the percentage rise = (34-23)/23*100
= 11/23*100
= 47.8%
