Do we really work with ACTUALDATA in development phase.

generally you will find development, QA and production
phase. If all these 3 phases are there then in development
phase u will never use actual data, but before moving the
graph to prodution it needs to pass through QA where you
have to test against the actual data.

Whenever we load data into oracle table from staging table using exchange partition...then I read somewhere that data actually doesn't move in this and this command only reset the pointer in the data dictionary...so if data doesn't move then how data is loaded into the main table ?
