HOW MPLS IS DIFFERENT FROM OSPF? WHY NOW A DAYS MPLS IS
PREFERED OVER ANY NETWORK PROTOCOL?
Answer Posted / prabha
MPLS is a one of a technology to route packets fastly in
the internetwork, were as OSPF is a Routing protocol.
MPLS technology is nothing but adding a lable contains
virctual path to reach the destination network(VRF) to the
data packets. once the labled packets are received by the
router, the packet is switched directly to next router
through the virctual path based on the VRF details, This
means there is no need for routing table look up, and
because of this the switching is very faster than other
technology.
