when will we use 'Defferred test'?

differed status is given to the bug when it is detected by
the tester in the last stage of the project and we need
time to fix it but we dont have the time and that bug is
not effecting the current version of the project and the
tester promise the client that it would be fixed in the
next version then that test is called as deffered test and
this status is used by the developer
