Tell me the situation where sanity test cases should pass
and smoke test cases fail...?

We do sanity or smoke test when we receive the build for
the first time. Before accepting the build we test the
basic functionality of the build. This process is called
either sanity of smoke. Both are alomost similar.

Can anybody write the test cases for the following scenario. I want to create District. for that, District Code field, District Name field, Reset button, Submit button, Back button are there in the screen. whenever we enter District Code & District Name in the related fields, by clicking on Submit button, District should be created.
