What is the difference between a production order and a sales order in SAP APO PPDS?
Answer Posted / Rohil Kumar Sahaya
In SAP APO PPDS, a Production Order (PO) represents an internal manufacturing order created to produce goods for stock or for another production order. On the other hand, a Sales Order (SO) is an external document that represents customer orders for products. The main difference lies in their purpose: POs are used for manufacturing internal production, while SOs are used for delivering products to customers.
