SAP APO PPDS performs Order-Based Planning (OPM) by creating Production Orders based on either Sales Orders or MRP Planning. OPM ensures that materials are produced in the correct quantity, at the right time, and in the appropriate sequence to meet customer demand or inventory requirements.
