AdWords bidding works by setting a maximum bid for your ads in an auction format. You compete with other advertisers to appear at the top of search results or relevant websites based on your chosen keywords and target audience. Google AdWords uses an automated system called 'Maximize Clicks' or 'Manual CPC' for setting bids.
