In SAP MaxDB, the SELECT statement is used to retrieve data from tables and views. It reads data from the database and stores it temporarily in an Internal Table (ITab). The basic syntax is as follows:nnSELECT column1 [,column2...] FROM table_name WHERE condition;nFor example: SELECT name, age FROM employees WHERE age > 30; This will select the 'name' and 'age' columns from the 'employees' table where the 'age' is greater than 30 and store the results in an internal table.
