Explain rman. Can it be used for database recovery and backup? If ye, how?

RMAN (Recovery Manager) is a utility in Oracle Database that performs backup, recovery, and maintenance operations. It can also be used for SAP MaxDB through third-party tools like 'MaxDB RMAN' or 'SAP DB Tools'. For database recovery, you restore the backup files using RMAN, and for backup, you take database dumps with RMAN and store them in a secure location.
