The Earth's atmosphere primarily consists of five principal gases, known as the 'Big Five': Nitrogen (N2) makes up about 78%, Oxygen (O2) accounts for around 21%, Argon (Ar) constitutes approximately 0.93%, and Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Neon (Ne) make up a small fraction of the remaining percentage.
