What is the difference between equality of operations or conditions?
Answer Posted / Raghvendra Vikram Yadav
Equality of operation (formal equality) refers to treating all individuals equally under the law, regardless of their race, gender, religion, or other personal characteristics. Equality of condition (substantive equality), on the other hand, aims to achieve a more even distribution of resources and opportunities among individuals so that everyone has an equal chance at success. While formal equality focuses on ensuring fairness in processes and procedures, substantive equality seeks to address underlying inequalities that persist despite equal treatment under the law.
