Being an astronomer can be challenging due to the following reasons: limited observational opportunities, as telescopes have restricted viewing times and are often in remote locations; intense competition for research grants and funding; complex data analysis involving advanced computational skills; and the need for patience and persistence as breakthroughs may take years or even decades.
