Can devops be applied to a waterfall process?

While DevOps philosophies can certainly benefit a waterfall process, the waterfall methodology is a sequential software development process that does not inherently support continuous integration and feedback loops that are essential in DevOps. However, incorporating some Agile and Lean practices from DevOps into a waterfall process can improve its efficiency.
