What is the difference between simple authentication and md5?
Answer Posted / Anamika Tiwari
Simple Authentication (PAP or Password Authentication Protocol) sends passwords in clear text, making it insecure. MD5 (Message Digest 5), on the other hand, is a hashing function that converts input data into fixed-size output and provides better security.
