In the Intel 8086 microprocessor, SIM (Shift Immediate Multibyte) and RIM (Rotate Immediate Multibyte) are instructions used for shifting or rotating multiple bytes within a register. The 'S' in SIM stands for Shift, while 'R' in RIM stands for Rotate. Both of these instructions can operate on 1-, 2-, or 4-byte operands.
