The 8051 microcontroller consists of a CPU (central processing unit), RAM, ROM, I/O ports, timers/counters, serial communication interface, and interrupt control unit. The CPU performs instructions and manages data, while the other components provide additional functionalities such as memory storage, input/output handling, timing, and communication.
