Explain me what is the difference between olap and data mining?
Answer Posted / Sanjay Singh Barfal
OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) and Data Mining are two different business intelligence techniques with distinct purposes. OLAP focuses on providing fast, interactive access to large amounts of data for analysis, including aggregation, drill-down, slice-and-dice operations, and what-if scenarios. On the other hand, Data Mining involves discovering patterns, trends, and anomalies in data through statistical and machine learning algorithms to predict future outcomes.
