Transformation in SAP BW is a process that modifies data during the data loading or transfer process. It allows you to cleanse, validate, consolidate, and enrich data before it is loaded into InfoCubes or other InfoProviders. The mapping is done using Transformation Routines, which define the rules for how data is transformed.
