Cost center accounting and profit center are two different types of organizational units in SAP FI-CO. Cost centers are used for internal cost recording, while profit centers are used for revenue recognition and cost allocation based on the performance of business activities. They can be linked together to perform a Profit Center Analysis (Kostenstellenanalyse).
