To delete a material permanently from the Material Master in SAP MM, follow these steps:n
1. Navigate to the Material Master record.
2. Go to the Overview tab.
3. Set the 'Active Indicator' for the material to 'Inactive'.
4. Save the changes.nnThe material will now be deactivated, but it will not be permanently deleted. To permanently delete the material, follow these additional steps:
5. Go to Transaction OX17.
6. Enter the material number and press F8 to search.
7. Set the 'Deletion Indicator' for the material to 'X'.
8. Save the changes.nnThe material will now be permanently deleted.
