What is the structure of delivery document? What are the characteristics essential for combining more than one sales order as one outbound delivery?

Answer Posted / Bhumika Kansal

The structure of a Delivery Document in SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) consists of various sections, such as Header, Items, and Control Data. The Header contains general information about the delivery, while the Items section lists the goods to be delivered. The Control Data includes information about shipping conditions and transportation routes. To combine multiple sales orders into one outbound delivery, they must share common characteristics such as the same customer, shipping point, and delivery date. Additionally, the items from different orders must be compatible in terms of quantity, unit of measure, and item category.
