Bluetooth classes define the power output levels and maximum transmission range of a Bluetooth device. There are seven classes, ranging from Class 1 to Class 7. The higher the class number, the lower the power output and the shorter the transmission range.nClass 1 devices have a maximum output power of 100 mW (milliwatts) and can transmit data up to 100 meters (328 feet). Common examples include laptop computers and wireless speakers. Class 7 devices, on the other hand, have a maximum output power of 0.001 mW and operate at distances under 1 meter.
