Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) are responsible for the wireless communication link between mobile devices and the network core in GSM technology. The main function of BTS is to transmit and receive radio signals, enabling mobile devices to communicate with the network. It performs air interface signaling, which includes modulation/demodulation, encoding/decoding, and synchronization.
