What do you mean by a transaction file and how it is different from that of a sort file?

Answer Posted / Bhawana Yadav

In Ab Initio, a Transaction File is a special type of data file that maintains the order of transactions (records) with respect to their original order. A Sort File, on the other hand, sorts records based on a specific key or keys. The primary difference lies in the preservation of the original transaction order.
