General rules for flushing slurry lines include:
1. Using an appropriate flushing medium (e.g., water, solvent, or air).
2. Clearing the line before introducing new materials to avoid cross-contamination.
3. Flushing at a velocity sufficient to dislodge and remove residual slurry from the pipe walls.
4. Using pressure relief devices to prevent overpressure during flushing.
