Email ports are numbers that determine where an email client connects to a mail server. Some common ports include IMAP (143), POP3 (110), SMTP (25, 465, or 587), and SSL/TLS encrypted versions of these protocols which use 's' after the port number (IMAPS on 993, POP3S on 995, and SMTPS on 465 or 587).
