What is the difference between UDT and IDT?

UDT (Universal Data Type) and IDT (InfoObject Data Type) are both data definition objects in SAP Business Objects. UDT is used for defining custom data types within a universe, while IDT is used for defining data types in the InfoCube or BW (Business Warehouse) context.
