The volume of sand can be calculated using the formula for the volume of a cone or cylinder, depending on its shape. If it's a cylindrical container with a known radius (r) and height (h), the volume V would be given by V = πr²h. If the sand is in a conical pile with a known base radius (R), slant height (l), and vertical height (H), the volume V would be given by V = (1/3)*πR²H
