what are Lookup caches options? Including persistent caches.
Answer Posted / Devendra Giri
Lookup Cache Options in Informatica PowerCenter are used to control the behavior of the cache for Lookup transformations. They can help improve performance by reducing I/O operations and memory usage.nnOptions include:
1. Cache Size: This determines how much memory is allocated for storing the cache.
2. Cache Type: This option allows you to choose between various types of caches, such as Session Cache, Repository Cache, and Persistent Cache.
3. Cache Mode: This setting specifies when the cache should be refreshed (Never, On Error, or Always).
4. Persistent Cache: This type of cache stores the lookup results across sessions. It can be configured using the Workflow Manager or by editing the $INFA/etc/cache_config.xml file.
