when u connect the repository for the first time it asks you
for user name & password of repository and database both.But
subsequent times it asks only repository password. why?

Subsequent logins use cached credentials, which are stored securely in the local machine. The need to enter only the repository password indicates that the database connection details have been saved and are automatically retrieved.
