Transport mode encrypts only the IP payload without modifying the original IP header. It is used for end-to-end communication between two hosts.nTunnel mode, on the other hand, encapsulates the entire original IP packet within a new IP packet with a new header, which includes the encryption details and destination IP address of the tunnel endpoint. This mode is useful when multiple security gateways are involved.
