Is the COM architecture same as .Net architecture? What is
the difference between them (if at all there is)?

Answer Posted / Rekha Rai

COM (Component Object Model) and .NET are two different technologies developed by Microsoft, with some similarities but also significant differences. COM is a binary interface standard for creating component-based applications, while .NET is an entirely new framework that builds upon the concepts of COM but uses managed code, Common Language Runtime (CLR), and a new programming model called AOT/JIT compilation.
