In a mixture, R is 2 parts and S is 1 part. In order to make S to 25% of the mixture, how much of R is to be added?

To find out how much of R needs to be added, first let's find out how much S currently makes up in the mixture. Since S is 1 part and there are a total of 3 parts (R+S), S makes up 1/3 of the mixture. To make S 25% of the mixture, we need it to be 1/4 of the mixture. So, the amount of R should be twice as much as S in the new mixture. That means (3/4 - 1/3) parts of R needs to be added.
