It provides detailed information about the sequence of operations, tools, materials, time required, and quality checks.nnThere are three types of SOPs: Basic SOP, Special SOP, and Extension SOP.
1. Basic SOP: Contains the general instructions for an operation which apply to all products manufactured.
2. Special SOP: Contains specific instructions for a product or group of products that deviate from the basic SOP.
3. Extension SOP: Used to extend the basic or special SOP with additional information such as safety measures, environmental guidelines, or quality checks.
