What is ISDN's history?

Answer Posted / Sourabh Kumar Pushpak

ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) was developed by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in the late 1980s as a replacement for traditional analog telephone lines. The goal was to create a digital network that could support multiple services, such as voice, data, and video, over a single connection. ISDN saw widespread adoption in the mid-1990s but has since been largely replaced by newer technologies like VoIP (Voice over IP) and broadband Internet connections.
