In Informatica, a Shortcut represents a symbolic link to another object (such as a transformation or a session) within the repository. When you create a Shortcut, changes made to the original object are reflected in the shortcut. On the other hand, Copy creates an independent copy of the object, allowing you to modify it without affecting the original object.
