[Backward Drill-Down (BDD) is a feature in Cognos that allows users to investigate the underlying data that contributes to a particular value in a report. This process starts with a high-level summary and drills down into more detailed levels until you reach the source of the data.nIn Cognos 8, Backward Drill-Down is possible by right-clicking on a cell in the report and selecting 'Drill-Down' from the context menu. This will open a new window displaying the underlying details that contribute to the selected value.]
